Highlights
{Snuggle Bug} Even though she goes to sleep in her own bed mosts nights, she always ends up in mine. Mostly my fault... When I go to sleep, I go scoop her up and take her to bed with me.

{Miss Independent} I am always hearing, 'I can do it.' She likes to put on her own clothes, shoes, wash her own hair, buckle her own carseat, make her own food... Makes me a little sad.

{Girl vs. Boy} She is just starting to define what is for boys and what is for girls.
One conversation we recently had:
Mom: 'Addi, I love you to infinity and beyond!' {quote from buzz lightyear from Toy Story}
Addi: 'No, mom. Buzz is for boys. I like Jessie. {girl character from Toy Story}
Buzz has always been her favorite. :(

Hi Toots,

It is seven minutes till your official 3rd Birthday.... 3rd BIRTHDAY! I can't believe you are my big 3 year old! This past year you went from a baby to a little girl...giving up paci's, getting potty trained and we both know you would sleep in your own bed but I always put you in my bed because I love to snuggle you. You will always be my baby, you are my little girl and no matter what, will always have my heart.

Add, you are my world. You were sent to me at the perfect time and these past 3 years have been the best in my life! You have made me learn how to look at this world in a new light. You have taught me patience, forgiveness and how to really love. You are the reason I am determined to work hard in all that I do. You are my ray of sunshine in the morning and my comfort in the night. You always have me laughing and smiling. You amaze me daily by the things you do. I just can't get enough of you.

I love you Toots.... to infinity and beyond!

Happy 3rd Birthday.

xoxo,

Your Mommy

Day 3 of Staycation Vacation

April 25th 2012

Today was the last day of our Staycation Vacation. I needed to prepare for work tomorrow and get some stuff done so we hung out at home all day. Addi watched cartoons, helped me clean, took a nap, we went to get a Happy Meal, we stopped by Papa and Grandma's and had a quiet evening at home. Addi is so independent and allows me to clean and organize while she colors or plays on her own. She is such a blessing and joy in my life and I am so grateful for the this Staycation Vacation. I value our quality time together and I love watching her grow.

I love my Tootsie.

Watching cartoons like a normal 2 year old.

Watching cartoons like Addi.

Taking down Christmas lights in April.

Putting the rest of the Christmas decorations away. It has been a busy year, to say the least.

My Grandpa A. gave me this baby crib. It has been in our family for 4 generations and I want to restore it so we can cherish it forever.

R.I.P stroller. Sad day for us. This was the #1 thing I wanted when I was pregnant. A jogger stroller with an Ipod hookup. Perfection! Well, a trip to Disneyland last year and an apparent rough ride on American Airlines and the stroller was done. Lots of memories with our jogger.

Addi saying goodbye. I got her a little $20 umberella stroller so we call that her 'big girl' stroller.

Crazy Pants

What?

Grrrr...

Breakfast at Kneaders and mad faces.

Owie

Addi has had a rough day. I picked her up from daycare today and she had a bump & a scratch on her forehead and scratch on her new. Tonight, she bumped her head twice on the television. She is a tough little girl. Everytime she gets hurt, no matter how big or small, she always says,

"I need a bandaid."

Getting So Big!

My Co-Pilot.

Love this girl!

My Valentine

Addi is and always will be my valentine. Even though I am dating someone now and (gulp) I know she will date someone someday, if I am going to celebrate a day of love, I want to celebrate it with her. Besides my mom, she is the best way I can describe what real love is.

She had daycare today and I had work. Afterwards, we went to Creativity in Orem to make a Valentine Craft and got some ice cream afterwards. Here are some pictures:
She choose a butterfly to paint.

She wanted to do it "All by myself."

She made me a hand print that I will cherish forever.

Asleep in 15

We have are easy sleeping days and we have our hard sleeping days. This one was easy.
She went from being outside, to her carseat, to being tucked into her bed in 15 minutes. She didn't wake up while I carried her from the car, into the house, took off her coat and tucked her in. Love.
15 minutes & counting

5 minutes & counting

And in bed.

My Not-So-Baby

The pictures below are from a couple months ago. I just can't get over how much Addi grows each day. Just a year ago, she was in diapers, using a paci and only said a few words.
Stop growing Toots! :(

This is when we were weening her off of pacis. She had snuck a paci and was sitting on it so I wouldn't take it away. A few minutes later....

...she was a happy camper.

Monkey See, Monkey Do.

Addi pulled out a Yoga mat today and said, "Im going to do the dog." {down dog}. She watches me do something one time and she doesn't forget {this could be good or bad}.

My Picasso

Addi is becoming quite the artist. Today she drew a picture of us. It might just look like scribbles but she is starting to create shapes and lines that look like people. She gets the big circle for the head and the straight lines for legs. It is amazing how much she learns each day.

My Wittle Cuddle Bug

Addi has been so affectionate lately. The other night we were eating dinner and she grabbed my hand and just kept eating. Tonight, we were laying in her bed watching a movie and she grabbed my hand and kept kissing it. She melts my heart everyday. Love her.

When Addi is with her Daddy...

I snuggle her Teddy and her blankies. (This is not a prop. I literally hold them like a child).

I miss my Tootsie Pop.

Like Mommy!

The other day, Addi was watching a show in her room and was completely distracted. So, like any other quick thinking mom, I decided a quick bath was in order.

I filled up the tub, propped up my computer on the side table and relaxed. I had the door cracked so I could hear her, of course! :)

About 15 minutes into my bath, Addi pushed the door open to see what I was doing. She said hi and went back to her room. I took about 5 more minutes, got out and got dressed.

I walked into her room to check on her and to my surprise, naked Addi had dumbed out one of her toy bins and had been filling up cups of water from her bathroom and filling the toy bin up. There was water everywhere! My first reaction was upset. But I quickly realized what she was doing: She saw mommy sitting in water, watching her show and she wanted to do the same. She looked at me with her big brown eyes and said, "Like Mommy!"

She is so smart and quick witted.

Sleeping Beauty

This past weekend, I was way more attached to Addi than I have been in a long time! I could not get enough of her! I am usually cleaning, organizing, doing projects, blogging, cooking, ect, on Saturdays and sometimes I don't give her enough attention. This Saturday and Sunday, I just wanted to be with Addi. We played, watch shows, ran errands, built a fort and had the BEST weekend together! Normally, when she takes her naps, I use the time to be productive. Saturday, I decided to sleep with her. Just snuggling her was the best.

This girl has me wrapped around her little finger. I am obsessed with her. She completes me.

I love my Addi.
