Sniffles*Pink Eye*1st Steps

My poor wittle Addi has had a bit of a rough week. First, she was a little under the weather with sniffles and a cough. One night she slept 14 HOURS STRAIGHT! A couple days later, she got Pink Eye. I did my best to sanitize all her toys and everything she touched, constantly washing ans sanitizing our hands, but I finally got Pink Eye, too. Addi really never gets fussy so she is still her spunky little self. The only thing she is having a hard time with is the eye drops. :(

On the brighter side, Addi TOOK HER FIRST STEPS THIS WEEK! March 10th she took four steps! Luckily, mommy and daddy were both there to see it!

February 2010

Addi really grew up this month. Her personality is starting to show more and more and I love her more and more everyday. This was our first Valentine's Day together so we started the tradition of making Valentine's Day cookies and treats together. It was fun.... for the first hour. :) I went all out this year: homemade sugar cookies, frosting, rice crispie treats, cupcakes and chocolate covered strawberries. Addi had fun.... for the first 10 ten minutes. I set her on the counter and let her try the cookie dough. Mistake! She loved it and just wanted to eat it. So she played with the rolling pin instead while I made the rest. It was fun just to spend time with her and I am excited to keep this tradition going forever. Yes, Addi, I said forever! So when you are reading this at 18 years old, you better make time to bake with your mama on Valentine's Day before you go on all the dates I know you will be asked on! She also had her first lollypop on Valentine's Day and sadly, her first fall off of a bed. :(
Her big accomplishment this month was her ability to know crawl up the stairs! She is a little monkey and moves so fast. She is starting to make me a little nervous, especially when she gets on the top stairs and trys to balance! But she loves to be able to move on her own. As soon as she sees the stairs, she is gone! She watches Marley go up and down the stairs and is still not understanding why she can't go down the stairs head first... we are working on that.
